STAR Foundation congratulates and thanks Dr. Raymond Wang for assuming the role as Chairperson of the FSASD Consortium.

STAR Foundation congratulates and thanks Dr. Raymond Wang of Rady Children’s Health in Orange, California for assuming the role as Chairperson of the Free Sialic Acid Storage Disorders (FSASD Consortium). Dr. Wang is a board-certified clinical geneticist and biochemical genetics specialist.
Over thirty researchers gathered for the Consortium’s 18th meeting on September 10, 2025. At the meeting, Dr Wang shared his gratitude for his predecessor Dr Marjan Huizing for her Consortium leadership, thanked each presenter for the scientific progress reported, and shared his enthusiasm for Consortium collaboration and next steps.
